now...this may sound like a stupid question but despite the fact I am an old programmer (or maybe because of it)  I am new to NET and COM, etc etc...I presume that once I download the matching zip and extract it, I have to register it and then it will be available for my VB programs...right? Wink

If you install the setup version, the type library will be registered automatically.
You have to register that manually by typing
Code
Select All
Phoner.exe -i

with full admin rights.

sorry to keep bothering you....but...this registration....is only made ONCE? or do I have to register it everytime I call the program? or everytime I am going to write code that will include it???? I apologize for my questions...but again...sometimes I feel a little lost with all these new developments... Sad

I think you expect too much. The application works normal - if you are using the COM interface or not. You just get information about incoming calls and you can initiate, accept and disconnect calls.
If you want to have a much higher control like registration and codec choice from your application, you have to look for another solution.
