Keypad on US Robotics 9600 USB handset
19. Aug 2011 at 10:37
Print Post
Hello

We use US Robotics 9600 USB handsets. These are rebranded Yealink P1Ks, which I know are supported by PhonerLite. On previous versions of PhonerLite, the keypad (digits, dial, hang up) all worked. They do not now. The handset is selected as both input and output source.

Has a change been made, or is there a way I can get the keys to work again?

Thanks

Tom

First of all you have to ensure that you configured PhonerLite for using that device by right click on the microphone and speaker button.
If you have done this and it doesn't work, I need to know if the VendorID and ProductID changed. If that device uses different IDs it can't work. Just tell me that IDs and I can give you a modified version that you may try.

Yes, I've selected the device for microphone and speaker. The device has not changed since it was working. Two things have changed: PhonerLite is now onthe most recent version; it is installed on Windows 7.

I am happy to check the VendorID and ProductID. I shall see if I can work out where to find them. If not, can you tell me how to?

Thanks

Tom

You can open the device manager and show the properties of that device. In the details view you can see that ids.

Hello!
I have similar problem. USB-P1K works fine with PhonerLite on windows XP and it doesn't work with PhonerLite on windows 7.

Also 'Ring' function on USB-phone doesn't work with PhonerLite.

USB\VID_6993&PID_B700&REV_0001&MI_03
USB\VID_6993&PID_B700&MI_03
If I run PhonerLite in "Windows XP" compatibility mode, it doesn't work.
If I run virtualPC on my windows 7 and then Windows XP on my Win7, it works fine.

I have no problems here. Please check if you really have selected the right capture device in PhonerLite.

Of course, I select capture device in PhonerLite but keyboard in windows 7 doesn't work.
I tried this on 4 computers with windows 7 and have one result: it does'nt work.
On windows XP it works perfectly.
Also, I try old version PhonerLite with no success.
I went to the shop and tried different USB-Phones, but in Windows 7 it does'nt work.

USB microphone and speakers works fine. Keyboard and ring on phone(not on speakers) - doesn't

The beta seems to behave no differently for me. The complete set of symptoms are:

  1. the keys do not work
  2. the ringer does not work
  3. the display does not change to show the date/time, which is what this handset seems to do when working fully

I am slightly concerned that issues might relate to drivers for the handset itself. Does anyone have a Windows7 x64 driver? I shall cross-test by installing X-Lite, and see if that works with the handset.

Any ideas? I am selecting it as both microphone and speaker in PhonerLite.

Thanks

Tom

Confirmed that X-Lite works with the USR9600: mic and speaker, keypad, ringer, and screen all function.

Am I doing something wrong with the PhonerLite beta? I just archived off the contents of my PhonerLite folder and replaced them with the contents of the beta zip.

Any ideas?

Tom
