No voice received on System Resume

At night I put my computer to sleep.  In the morning, I wake it up when it is time to work.  But even after my computer resumes everything and reconnects to the network, Phoner and PhonerLite have an issue every time the computer is resumed.

Phoner says it is registered, and can call and receive calls fine, but the very first call, sometimes two, you can't hear when the other person talks.  My workaround is this:  whenever I wake up my computer, I call voicemail over and over until I can hear it talking.  This usually works on the first call, sometimes on the second or third.  Again, Phoner(Lite) is registered fine.

My problem has been consistent for several years.

I am running Asterisk 1.2 and my workstation is Windows 7 Pro x64.

I tried that several times and had no problem here. So I don't know what I have to do.
Can you please check if that is a normal sound problem? After resuming the PC you can click on the "connect" button without entered a number before. You should hear a dial tone normally. Can you hear this dial tone after resume too?

No, I don't hear anything after System Resume.  I don't doubt it could be a sound problem.  I'm using a Jabra GN9350 headset.   

I can transmit voice but not receive it.  And I am able to make calls and the softphone is registered.

Is there something else I can look for to get a clue?

It is definitely a problem with sound devices - the way PhonerLite uses it maybe.
Do you have a "normal" sound device too? I mean a device that is NOT attached by USB.
