Call disconnects after 19:30 of hold time?

Hello,

Really enjoying PhoneRLite. It has many features that alot of other soft-phones just don't have Smiley Big fan of the call statistics page.

I am running into an issue however, where calls placed on hold disconnects after 19 minutes and 30 seconds of consecutive hold time. Under debug, it lists an reason code 408 for "session timeout". The disconnect appears to occur from the device I am calling PhoneR from, IE cellphone.

I have tried about every setting that I can find in PhoneR, and searched for previous posts here regarding it, but with no success.

Just was wondering if there is any sort of limit on hold time with PhoneRLite, or is this something else to do with session timers? I have tried 2.70, 2.71 and 2.58 versions. Any sort of guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!! Smiley

Can you send me the internal debug log of PhonerLite after that call termination or a pcap trace (Wireshark) so I can see whats happening?

In going through the logs, I see:

session-expires: 1200;refresher uac

Not certain if this is at all correlated with the issue, but the times about match up.

For initiating a call hold, PhonerLite sends a re-INVITE without session timer information. Normally session times are stopped then.
I uploaded a new beta version that send session timers in hold and retrieve now. Hopefully this solves your problems.

I sent you an answer for your last mail, but that was rejected because of possible spam/virus content...

I see the problem! Your PBX doesn't support SIP message "UPDATE". The reply for the hold contains that:
Allow: INVITE, ACK, BYE, CANCEL, OPTIONS, MESSAGE, INFO, REGISTER, REFER, NOTIFY
Because there is no UPDATE, PhonerLite has to send a reINVITE for session timers. Unfortunately this contains "sendrecv" again - what is wrong! My fault!

Please ask the manufacturer of your PBX what they expect. The most common way is to send UPDATE without any SDP, but they don't say they support UPDATE.
Should I send a hold again (sendonly)?

I have reached out to my provider regarding the issues, but so far I have not spoken with anyone knowledgeable. I will attempt to get a proper response, may take me a day.

Thanks!

Hello,

I still haven't heard anything from my provider. Still after them....

I tested the new beta; downloaded hour ago and it is great!

Was able to achieve 30+ minute hold, provider's hold music played the entire time. Smiley  Cool

Thanks for the feedback! Did you try the same but PhonerLite is set on hold (the other party initiates the hold now)?

Sorry about the delay. I was able to test using a different soft phone holding a call from PhoneRLite on the same PBX provider. Call had no issues, 30+ minute hold, provider hold music played through entire hold, call was active after hold. Smiley
