Ringing device

Hi,
Is there a way to have the ringing device different from the hearing device ?
I mean: it would be cool to have the phone ringing on the speaker if you have a headset attached. It would avoid wearing the headset to detect an incoming call.

Thanks
Eric

I assume you have at least two sound devices. You can explicitly set the devices in Phoner and PhonerLite that should be used for the call. Additionally you can set the option to use the default windows sound device for ringing tones. This is called "ring over wave mapper" in Phoner.

with most newer pc systems, you have multiple ports that can be assigned.

Front mic,speaker
back mic, speaker
HD speaker

I think what he is asking is whether you can assign the ringer to the back speakers or hd speaker ports, and have the headphones plugged into the front mic/speaker ports.

by default some systems will automatically forward all sound to the mic, once it is detected that headphones are plugged into the front panel, unless you can specifically specify which port the sound will be outputed on, this would overide the default wav mapper to external speakers.

Take a look at your mixer. There is configured which port on a device is used. Phoner (and PhonerLite) doesn't change any of that settings. I personally hate applications that change my mixer settings!

Please let image - i have USB-P1K and very lowd Speackers.
Computer is playing music and me in the other room. I can hear only music and have no chance to hear incoming call.
So duplicate ring on all possible devices IS VERY USEFUL.

There are thousands of useful possible features, but I can't implement all. For me it is just hobby. I am implementing only things I use for my own or that are interesting for me.
There are a lot of alternative softphones that can configure the ringing device. Just use such softphone. I can't help you with this issue very soon.
