Audio Problems After Reinstalling PhonerLite On A

Hi!

Greetings again from the Vogtland area.

After setting up PhonerLite on a new laptop, I wanted to share a small observation that may help with troubleshooting. I still really appreciate the application and continue to be a big fan of it.

During the final step of the first setup, PhonerLite asked me to choose the audio devices to use. Since I normally make calls with a Plantronics USB headset, I selected that device. After doing so, however, PhonerLite started behaving strangely. It either took a very long time to start, around 30 seconds or more, stopped responding completely, or produced no audible dial tone when placing a call.

Because I could no longer properly reach or adjust the sound settings, I removed PhonerLite and deleted the related data folders, including the installation directory and the roaming user profile folder. After restarting the computer, I installed PhonerLite again. This time, I left the audio device selection on the default entries instead of choosing the headset manually.

Since then, everything has worked normally again.

I am not sure exactly what caused the issue, but it seems that selecting the USB headset directly during the initial setup may have triggered the audio problem. Hopefully this information is useful in case similar reports appear in the future.

Feel free to ask if any additional details would help. Thanks again for all the work put into this project.

You can select the audio device at any time by right clicking the microphone and speaker button in PhonerLite.
I could not reproduce your problem so far. Maybe I need that special audio device too.
