When I use Phoner the microphone is OK, but there is no sound at all!
(And nothing shows up in the volume bar to the right.)

System: Win2k, Soundblaster PCI, CAPI, Eicon Diva ISA.
I have a lot of other applications (including other phone-applications) and they all "sounds loud and clear". The only exception is Phoner (i tried both 1.9 and 1.78).
I like the Phoner UI very much, but without sound it's of course useless ...

- Any suggestions? 
- Is there some relevant diagnostics I can do??

My system has just 1 soundcard. When I tried the "self test" you described I was able to hear myself. This seemed to rule out any hardware problem. But I still got no incoming sound when I connected. I suspected the problem to be inside Phoner somewhere, so I played around with some configuration settings.

It turned out that when the CAPI blocksize was set to 240, 480 or 496 there was no incoming sound. But every other blocksize that I tried worked well! (I have not tried all the possible settings.) Unfortunately 480 is the standard, causing Phoner not to work directly from a plain install.

My CAPI is "Eicon 32Bit CAPI 2.0 DLL for Windows NT" version "2.0 (210.2010)".

I don't know anything about CAPI, but maybe 480 isn't the best standard setting ??
