Hi, new phoner/phonerlite user question

Hi everyone, I am new to phoner:-)

I just installed phoner and phonerlite and so far I like them quite a bit
both of them, I am still making my mind on which one I will use.

I have a question, can phoner/phonerlite work with my SIP
provider (I have a contract which includes voicemail, caller id,
"land line" phone number etc.) voicemail? I won't be
using (I think) the included answering machine on phoner,
but rather my SIP service one, so I was wondering if phoner
can let me know that I have messages waiting at startup or when
I am not around my computer and missed some calls. If so,
how can I set it up? I called myself and didn't answered the
call (testing it) and left a message (not in phoner of course
but with my SIP provider) and the software didn't let
me know that  I had messages waiting.

Thank you in advance, I am having fun with phoner.

hello phonerca,

Phoner is able to handle MWI (message waiting indication); I have seen it working on an 1&1-account. To see, what prevents it from working in your case, a view in the debug log may help. Please restart Phoner, make a test and post us the content of Window - Debug - Phoner and Window - Debug - SIP.

Yours sincerely, Jens

Hi, thank you for your response JB.

I think I found the problem, when I click in the voice mail box icon,
phoner calls to: T-Net-Box (800) 330 2424, which is not the number
to check my voice mail. The number to check my voice mail is: *98
if I am connected to my SIP provider.

How can I change the default number? I tried to look in the help
section, but is all in German Shocked I wish I could speak the language.

Thank you again.

P.S. I changed my nick to: phone77

Greetings from Canada

Phoner only supports MWI (Message Waiting Indication) in ISDN/CAPI mode.
In SIP mode (PhonerLite only supports SIP) there is no MWI support built in. Sorry.

To change the number of your Mailbox, hold the Ctrl key while clicking on it.
