External Applications - settings not saved

When PhonerLite is closed and started again, it loses any settings in the External Applications section.

Can I configure these in the ini file as a workaround in the meantime?

I can't reproduce a problem with saving the settings.
Are you using Phoner or PhonerLite? Are you using the latest version?

PhonerLite and it's happening on the latest stable and latest beta version. Happens on other PC's in our office so it's not just my PC.

To reproduce:
1) Put filepath into External Applications
2) Exit PhonerLite
3) Open PhonerLite

I can confirm the external application does work while PhonerLite is open, and you can see the filepath in the settings before exiting PhonerLite.

I did exactly the same and it works.
Please try a simple test: Put 1, 2 and 3 in the 3 fields. Close the application and restart. Is everything available?
If that works but your real path doesn't, maybe there are some problems with special characters.

I tried putting 1, 2 & 3 in, closed PhonerLite and when it was opened again the settings are blank in External Applications.

PhonerLite saves that info into the file "PhonerLite.ini". The location of this file depends on the way you installed PhonerLite. It is either in the PhonerLite folder or in the user specific folder: %APPDATA%\PhonerLite
Do you have changed file permissions to that file?

No permissions have been changed on the file and other settings appear to be saved correctly.

I can confirm the information is being saved into PhonerLite.ini, however it is then removed from PhonerLite.ini upon restarting the application.

This is what was in PhonerLite.ini at the end of the file after saving External Applications settings:

[externalApplication]
incoming=1
active=2
terminated=3

When I closed PhonerLite.ini and then closed PhonerLite and opened it up again, I then opened up PhonerLite.ini and that section at the bottom of PhonerLite.ini wasn't there anymore.

That is strange! I can't reproduce that here. Are you using more than one instance of PhonerLite simultaneously on your PC?

Just one instance and happens on at least two of our PC's. I'll try on a few more. We aren't using Active Directory - just normal W10 PC's.

If you try the latest beta version (http://www.phoner.de/PhonerLiteBeta.zip) - does that anything change?

That fixes saving the external applications.

However noticed the Do Not Disturb isn't working correctly and I can't accept calls.

Even when I'm logged in to the PC and choose DND and then dial my extension from another phone, I don't hear the same response from the PBX saying the user is unavailable.

When DND is turned off and I ring my extension from another phone, PhonerLite rings however none of the answer buttons work. The phone simply keeps ringing.

Unsure if this is something just to do with my instance of PhonerLite/PC, or if this latest beta changes DND.

You are right! DND didn't work. Please download the beta version again.
