An ZRTP/TLS based call is being made between the UK and Dubai (UAE), via antisip.com.

Either of the above mentioned Codecs messages are displayed, and in both cases no audio is heard. Why?

What is happening when "in:---, out:A-Law" is displayed when a call is being made?

When the lock key appears, I take it meaning ZRTP handshake is successful?, could you allow it so that clicking/hovering over the lock icon would reveal the ZRTP phrase so both parties can verbally confirm they are both seeing the same thing?

Both users are using PhonerLite 1.87beta.

If ZRTP is successful you should see the green symbol within the lock icon (see here). You get the ZRTP phrase (SAS) as tooltip for that icon.

"in:--" means, that no RTP packet was received so far. This is mostly a problem of NAT/firewall. If you want to use Antisip, PhonerLite needs to get a public IP address and port. For this you can use STUN or UPnP - depending of your router.

Excellent!

I did notice in the image you link to, under number, that the direction arrow is green, and points from left to right. What I have noticed with my connection is that the direction arrow is red, and points from right to left. What does this mean?

Is there a better service than Antisip that supports TLS?

Give a look at the German page http://www.secure-sip-server.net
Since TLS is not available on public phones your partners will also need an account by this provider.

There you can also get a preconfigurated PhonerLite download zip for your user account.

That problem with "in:--" is not specific for Antisip. That is a general problem when using a NAT/firewall environment. For that service deti told about you also need STUN or UPnP.
Just configure a STUN server like "stun.ekiga.net" and try again.
