Different Audio Device for Ringing

Hi,

Is there a way to configure PhonerLite to use a different output audio device for ringing. I have a headset which I want to use for microphone and call audio, however I would like the ringer to come out of my speakers (a different device in Windows)

Any ideas would be fantastic.

Many thanks,

Matthew.

PhonerLite uses the default audio device for ringing. So ringing tone will be played over that device that Windows itself uses for notification sounds. Configure your default device and it will be used by PhonerLite for incoming calls.

Sorry for not being clear. I have done this already.

I have two devices Headphones and Speakers. I want to have ringing via the Speakers and VoIP calls via Headphones.

If I set the default device to Headphones, both ringing and calls go via my headset.

If I set the default to Speakers, ringing and calls go via my speakers.

I hope this explains it better. Smiley

Thanks for your time!

Don't worry.

I found it.

If you right click on the speaker icon on the right, you can select the device used for calls.

Ringing always uses the default device.

It even says this in the manual (which I have now read!)

Sorry about the pointless questions! Smiley

Having used this all afternoon now, I have a feature request.

The ability to manually set the ringing device rather than using "default".

I work in an office environment and want to have my default audio (for Windows beeps, YouTube, etc) coming through my headset.

The *only* audio I want out of the speakers is PhonerLite ringing.

Therefore I would like to have my default device set to Headphones and tell PhonerLite to use Speakers for ringing only.

Is this possible please?

Many thanks again for your time!

That is not possible at the moment and I don't really plan to implement that.
There is another solution. You can use the PC speaker (the internal one) for some beep tones. You can try this by opening the configuration file "PhonerLite.ini" and search the line "Beep=0" and change that to "Beep=1".
