Hello!
I have not made the back up of my contacts before program update.
Is it possible to recover them? Some of them were unique... Sad

The setup version and the ZIP file only contain the application itself. You can do updates without losing any settings or contacts. Do you really lost all your contacts after update? Maybe you installed the update to a different folder?
